Serve at TX KOSTA 2026
TX KOSTA is a four-day youth conference held in Houston, Texas, welcoming students from across the United States to encounter Jesus Christ through worship, the Word, and authentic Christian community.
Each year, God uses a committed staff team to help create an environment where students can hear the gospel, grow in faith, and experience meaningful life change through Christ.
If you have a heart to serve the next generation, we invite you to join us. Serving at TX KOSTA is not only an opportunity to support the conference — it is a chance to be part of what God is doing in the lives of youth from across the country.
Staff Eligibility

Must be 18 years or older
(Graduating high school seniors are not eligible to serve as staff)

Must be an active member in good standing of a local church

Must be a professing Christian and follower of Jesus Christ

Must be able to stay on site and serve for the full conference, June 23–26, 2026
What to Expect
Serving at TX KOSTA is both a ministry opportunity and a spiritual experience.
As a staff member, you will:

Serve students from across the United States alongside a passionate team of leaders, volunteers, and guest speakers

Participate in staff training, prayer, and team preparation leading up to the conference

Experience the conference while serving, including worship, messages, and fellowship with fellow staff

Receive meals and lodging on the HCU campus, a staff t-shirt, and a conference kit

Application Process
Detailed instructions will be sent by email after you complete the online application. Once you submit the application, please allow 5-10 business days for processing and follow-up.

Submit the Registration Fee - Submit the $100 staff registration fee. Zelle is preferred to help avoid processing fees.

Pastoral Reference - We will contact your pastor to confirm that you are a member in good standing and that they support your serving at TX KOSTA.

Background Check
You will receive an email to complete a background check. The cost of the background check will be covered by TX KOSTA.If we do not receive pastoral support or a cleared background check, you will not be able to serve at TX KOSTA. In that case, your registration fee, minus any processing fees, will be refunded.

Required Staff Preparation
To help prepare our team well, all staff will participate in several preparation steps leading up to the conference.

Staff Prayer & Preparation Meetings
Weekly staff prayer and preparation meetings will begin approximately six weeks before the conference.
These meetings will take place on Zoom. Date and time TBA. -
Team Meetings
Your assigned team leader may also schedule additional team meetings on Zoom for preparation and coordination.

SACMAT Training
All staff will also be required to complete SACMAT training, which stands for Sexual Abuse and Child Molestation Awareness Test.
This training is required by Houston Christian University for all staff serving on campus and will be sent out later during the training process. Completion of this training is required for all staff before the conference.
Staff KOSTA Day
June 22, 2026 (Monday)
Staff are asked to arrive at Houston Christian University for setup, preparation, and a time of staff worship and orientation.
Staff traveling from outside Houston or those arriving with their youth groups may be excused.
Additional lodging and meals will be provided for staff arriving on June 22.
Our Priority: A Safe and Thriving Environment for Youth
Our highest priority at TX KOSTA is to provide youth with a safe, welcoming, exciting, and spiritually thriving conference experience.
Because of that, all staff are expected to conduct themselves in a way that reflects Christ, supports the mission of the conference, and helps foster a healthy environment for students and fellow staff. Any staff member whose behavior creates disruption, raises safety concerns, or negatively affects the experience of the youth may be removed from their position and asked to leave the conference.
